Job Description

Title: Operations Leader

Reports to: COO

Job Summary

The Operations Leader will implement the right processes and practices across the organization, will mentor the team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service, and implement best practices across all levels.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

•       Formulates strategy to improve team’s performance

•       Procures material and resources

•       Secures compliance

•       Responsible for Team Schedule

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

•       Ensures all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way

•       Improves operational management systems, processes, and best practices

•       Purchases materials and plans inventory

•       Helps the organization’s processes remain legally compliant

•       Formulates strategic and operational objectives

•       Manages budgets and forecasts

•       Performs quality controls and monitor production

•       Trains and supervises staff

•       Finds ways to increase the quality of customer service

•       Direct laundry and cleaning personnel to ensure a consistent supply of clean, neat and quality                 linens and supplies.

•       Perform laundry functions in complete compliance with OSHA guidelines and requirements.

•       Ensure to maintain top-level cleanliness following set policies, standards, and procedures.

•       Lead staff relations effectively within the laundry department.

•       Check out every piece and make sure all the items come back or make adjustments.

•       Handle concerns clients relating to the linens and follow up on activities as required.

•      Ensure to promote active teamwork within the laundry department and maintain strong                          interdepartmental relations.

•      Plan, organize, and hire all laundry colleagues.

 

Required Skills/Abilities

•       Hotel Management or equivalent Service based experience

•       Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management

•       Experience budgeting and forecasting

•       Familiarity with business and financial principles

•       Excellent communication skills

•       Leadership ability

•       Outstanding organizational skills

 

Minimum Education and Qualifications

•       High School, Operations Management, or related technical education

•       Proven work experience in Operations supervision or with a recent hotel background experience
